How we handle personal data under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
This Privacy Notice explains how 1UpMedia Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202446484W) ("1UpMedia", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data, in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). It applies to personal data we handle in running our studio and delivering our services.
Enquiry and contact data: your name, email, phone, company, and message when you contact us or use our enquiry form.
Client and partner data: business contact details of the people we work with at client and partner organisations.
Production-related data: personal data within, or about, content we are engaged to work on (for example, contributor or talent names and likenesses), provided to us by our clients.
Administrative data: information needed for contracting, invoicing, and payment.
We use personal data only for the purposes for which it was provided, including to: respond to enquiries; provide and deliver our services; manage our client and partner relationships; carry out production work as instructed by our clients; and meet our legal, accounting, and contractual obligations.
We collect and use personal data with consent, or where otherwise permitted under the PDPA. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer, and we will explain any consequences of doing so.
We do not sell personal data. We disclose it only as necessary to deliver our work, for example to the licensed production tools and service providers we use (such as our cloud environment, Google Workspace Enterprise), and only within those providers' commercial terms. Where we process personal data on behalf of a client, we act on that client's instructions and the client remains the owner of the data.
We protect personal data using the administrative, technical, and physical safeguards set out in our Information Security Policy, including access controls, encryption, and need-to-know access.
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law, after which it is securely deleted or returned.
Some of the tools and cloud services we use may store or process data outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we take steps intended to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA.
Subject to the PDPA, you may request access to, or correction of, the personal data we hold about you. Please contact our Data Protection Officer, and we will respond as soon as reasonably possible.
We may update this notice from time to time.
